Temma Jones is the kind of woman who embodies wellness rather than just talking about it. A Detroit native who grew up on the East Side and in Midtown, Temma’s journey is rooted in faith, family, and a deep commitment to living well from the inside out.
By day, she’s a career professional. By night, she’s an influencer and wellness advocate who uses cooking and dance as tools for healing and connection. For Temma, movement is not about performance and food is not about restriction. Both are pathways to wholeness, joy, and longevity.
Her relationship with Aya House began as a client, but quickly evolved into something deeper. Nearly a year later, the space was recommended to her as a home for hosting her Hustle Classes, and from that moment, it became clear that Aya House was more than a venue. It was community. It was alignment. It was home.
When asked how she defines wellness, Temma speaks with clarity and conviction. Wellness, to her, is the care you give yourself from the inside out. While so many focus on outward appearance, she reminds us that true wellness begins in the unseen places. When the heart, body, soul, and mind are whole, that radiance outshines anything cosmetic.
Her work contributes to Black legacy by offering tools and skills that can be passed on and practiced daily. Eat well. Move well. Live long. It’s a philosophy rooted in sustainability, not trends, and one that centers care as an act of love and resistance.
Temma draws inspiration from Maya Angelou, a woman she admires for embracing femininity while remaining powerful, strong, and steadfast. That balance shows up clearly in Temma’s own life and leadership. Her understanding of Black love reflects the same truth, life does not have to be perfect to be beautiful.
At Aya House, Temma resonates most with the spirit of collaboration, creativity, and community. Being a member has expanded her network in meaningful ways and opened doors to partnership, learning, and shared impact. In her words, iron truly does sharpen iron.
When asked what she would say to someone considering membership or sponsorship, her answer is simple and direct. The real question is not why, but why not. Why wouldn’t you want to position yourself for growth and be part of a community actively creating positive change?
Looking ahead, Temma is focused on going bold and proud with her LLC, completing her e-book, and continuing to deepen her impact within the Aya House community. Her hope is to return in 2026 as an MVP, supported by a network that believes in her vision as much as she believes in collective growth.
Temma Jones reminds us that wellness is not a destination, it’s a daily practice. And when nurtured in community, it becomes a legacy.
